The project “TVET Reform” (“Assistance to the Reform of the Technical & Vocational Education & Training”) was established in 2005 with funding from the European Union.
The main idea is to establish partnerships between manufacturers and training centers to support the TVET sector. It covers 15 governorates in Egypt. The total cost for this project is 66 million Euros and supports 12 different industry branches including garment industry, tourism, food and furniture.
The project is organizing training programmes in Egypt as well as in other countries in order to raise the skills of workers, which will lead to upgrading the competitiveness of Egyptian products in the global market.
